Matan Eyal

Matan Eyal is a Senior Research Engineer and Technical Lead at Google since April 2022, focusing on advancing multilingual capabilities in large language models (LLMs). Prior to this role, Matan held positions as a Research Engineer at the Allen Institute for AI from September 2019 to April 2022 and as an NLP Researcher at IBM Research between October 2018 and September 2019. Matan's early experience includes serving as a Masters Candidate and Teaching Assistant at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev from March 2017 to September 2018, as well as a Software Engineer at Fiverr from March 2015 to March 2017. Matan holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Statistics from Tel Aviv University.
