Matt MacMahon possesses extensive experience in artificial intelligence, software engineering, and systems integration, primarily focused on improving technology at major organizations such as Google and NASA. During an initial tenure at Google from 2007 to 2009, Matt worked as a Trust & Safety Engineer and later in various managerial roles overseeing natural language understanding (NLU) and search quality improvements across multiple languages and applications. Currently serving as a Software Engineering Manager at Google since 2021, Matt leads initiatives in knowledge representation and machine learning. Prior experiences include contributions to NASA projects and research roles at the Naval Research Laboratory and the University of Texas at Austin, culminating in a PhD in Artificial Intelligence. Matt also holds a Master's in Software Engineering and a Bachelor's in Symbolic Systems from Stanford University.
