Matthew Chek

Matthew Chek has extensive experience in diplomatic and public affairs roles, beginning as a Country Officer in the Middle East Directorate at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Singapore from April 2013 to September 2015. Subsequently, Matthew served as First Secretary (Political) at the Singapore High Commission in New Delhi, managing concurrent accreditation to Nepal and Bhutan. Matthew continued in the Ministry as a Country Officer in the Southeast Asia Directorate, eventually rising to Deputy Director and Assistant Director. In April 2025, Matthew transitioned to Google as APAC Public Affairs Manager and Internal and Executive Communications Manager. Academically, Matthew holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Affairs with First Class Honours from The London School of Economics and Political Science and a Master's degree in Political Science and Government from Columbia University.
