Matthew Franks

Matthew Franks serves as the Principal Director at Google since April 2024. Previously, Franks held a professorship at The University of Texas at Austin and was the VP of Design at Gorilla Logic, focusing on the strategic design practice following Gorilla Logic's acquisition of Modernist Studio, where Franks was a partner. Franks has also contributed as faculty at the Austin Center for Design, principal at GE Aerospace, and product owner at Blackboard and MyEdu, where leadership in product development and design was emphasized. Early career experience includes roles at frog and Target, highlighting a strong background in interaction and product design. Matthew Franks earned a BFA in Industrial Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
