Matthew Rakher

Matthew Rakher is a quantum scientist and engineer with extensive experience in semiconductor quantum dot spin qubit design and characterization. They have held prominent roles at HRL Laboratories, including Senior Research Scientist and Division Director, where they led multiple teams and managed significant projects in quantum technology. Previously, Rakher was a European Union Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Basel, supervising PhD and Master's students while conducting research in ultracold atomic systems. They earned a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and are currently the Quantum Systems Engineering Lead at Google.
