Maureen Suhendra is an experienced professional in education and user experience research, beginning as a 6th Grade Teacher at IDEA Public Schools from June 2008 to June 2010 and serving as a Coordinator for Teach for America in early 2008. Maureen co-founded ClassJourney from January 2017 to January 2019 and was a Staff UX Researcher at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative from October 2017 to September 2019. Maureen has held significant roles in UX research at Google, focusing on YouTube Music since April 2022 and previously on the Workspace Platform from September 2019 to March 2022. Additional experience includes leading K-12 strategy, partnerships, and user experience research at Khan Academy from April 2013 to January 2015. Maureen holds a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology from Brown University, an M.A. in Education Research from Stanford University, and a minor in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design. Currently, Maureen serves as an advisor at X in a Box, LLC since March 2021.
