Maxim Afanasyev, PhD, is a seasoned executive in AI and product management with over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Currently, they serve as the Financial Services Industry Solutions Lead at Google, where they engage with financial institutions across JAPAC to implement data-driven solutions. Prior to this role, Maxim held key positions at companies such as Standard Chartered Bank and McKinsey & Company, where they spearheaded digital and data transformation initiatives. They also have an extensive background in analytics, having established and led advanced analytics teams in previous roles. Maxim received their MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
