Mekka Okereke

Mekka Okereke is a highly accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and product development for prominent companies. Currently serving as General Manager for Apps on Google Play and previously holding roles as Senior Director of Engineering and Director of Engineering for Google Play Growth, Mekka has driven significant transformations in app development and marketplace efficiency. Prior experience includes leadership positions at Amazon, overseeing Mobile App Developer Services and contributing to the development of the Amazon Appstore, as well as entrepreneurial ventures with Semaphore Mobile and Karbon Systems LLC. A graduate of Pomona College with a BA in Computer Science, Mekka is also active in promoting diversity through leadership roles such as Global Co-Chair of the Black Googler Network.
