Merve Akbas, PhD, is a data-driven Quantitative UX Researcher at Google, focusing on Google Search since 2022. Previously, Merve contributed to Google Ads from 2019 to 2022 and held roles as a Data Scientist at Jet.com, a Behavioral Economist at Aliya Financial Technologies, and a Behavioral Scientist at Morningstar. Merve's early experience includes consulting for The World Bank and conducting research at Duke University’s Behavioral Economics Lab. Merve holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Duke University, along with an MA and BA in Economics from Sabanci University and Boğaziçi University, respectively.
