Michael Lay

Michael Lay is a seasoned HR partner and leader in diversity, equity, and inclusion, with over 30 years of experience at renowned tech companies such as Cisco and Google. Currently serving as the Head of Inter-belief and Employee Resource Groups at Google, Michael is recognized for spearheading inclusive community initiatives and managing a multi-million dollar budget dedicated to enhancing employee engagement. Previously, Michael held various roles at Cisco, including Business Operations Manager and Metro Atlanta HR Site Leader, where they contributed significantly to operational governance and employee development strategies. Earlier in their career, Michael also gained valuable experience in guest services at Walt Disney World and production coordination at SABC.
