Michael Rose

Michael Rose is a privacy and technology advocate currently serving as the Global Head of Proactive Regulatory Engagement and CISO at Google Cloud. With a robust background in regulatory strategy, they have previously held leadership roles at Google focusing on global data transfer policy and privacy for Asia-Pacific and emerging markets. Michael has considerable experience in digital policy, having worked with the U.S. Congress, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, and various international negotiations including the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield and APEC Cross-Border Privacy Rules. They earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of the Pacific and a Master of Arts in Public Policy from Liberty University.
