Michael Terrell leads Google’s initiatives in advanced energy technologies and market solutions, focusing on powering the company’s global data center fleet. With over 20 years of experience in energy technology and market development, they have played a pivotal role in shaping Google’s commitment to achieving 24/7 carbon-free energy by 2030. As Board Chair of the Clean Energy Buyers Association, which Terrell helped establish, they have contributed to significant clean energy policy advocacy and collective procurement efforts. Prior to their current role at Google, Michael worked as an energy and climate attorney and held various positions within the federal government. They earned a B.S. in Natural Resources, a J.D. cum laude, and a Master of Environmental Management.
