Michael Tyka is currently an L6 Staff Researcher at Google, focusing on Climate & Energy. They previously served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Washington from 2007 to 2012, working on protein structure prediction. Michael also pursued graduate studies at the University of Bristol, where they completed a PhD in Biophysics and developed new methods for absolute free-energy calculations. Additionally, they earned a BSc in Biochemistry with Biotechnology and Microbiology from the same institution.
