Mike Dahlin is currently the VP and Engineering Fellow at Google, where they serve as the technical lead for the Google Compute Engine. They previously held the position of Distinguished Engineer at Google, leading efforts in both the Compute Engine and Google-wide Node Software. Dahlin was also a professor at the University of Texas from 1996 to 2014, focusing on research in large-scale networked systems and distributed systems. As a co-founder and Chief Technology Advisor at Catalis, Inc., they contributed to the technical strategy for a graphical Electronic Medical Record system. Dahlin earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from UC Berkeley and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Rice University.
