Mike Schäkermann

Mike Schäkermann is a Staff Research Scientist at Google, specializing in the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction, Machine Learning, and Medicine. They hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, where they further pursued their research interests after completing a Bachelor's degree in Media Informatics. Previously, Mike worked as an Applied Scientist at Amazon Web Services, and held various research and educational roles at institutions such as Fachhochschule Salzburg and Inria. Their early career included co-founding Stilnest and contributing as a research assistant in the core-unit for Brain Imaging at The Philipp University of Marburg.
