Mike Winton

Mike Winton has extensive experience in engineering and data science, holding leadership roles at prominent companies. Winton served as Engineering Manager for Manufacturing Data Systems at FormFactor from March 2003 to April 2006 and progressed to significant positions at Google, including Engineering Director for Data Science & Engineering from July 2019 to September 2024, where responsibilities included driving user understanding and delivering insights for Google Search and Google Assistant. During a previous tenure at Google from October 2013 to September 2014, Winton was VP of Software Engineering in the Motorola division, focusing on data quality for AI model training. Previous roles also include engineering positions at IBM and Oracle Corporation, where Winton contributed to new product introduction and marketing analytics. Winton holds a Master of Information & Data Science from UC Berkeley and a B.S. from the University of Michigan, with academic excellence demonstrated by a 4.0 GPA at UC Berkeley.
