Milinda Perera

Milinda Perera is an accomplished Software Engineering Manager at Google, where responsibility includes overseeing a team in the User Protection organization, focusing on security mechanisms that protect billions of users. With extensive experience in software engineering, Milinda has contributed to significant infrastructure projects involving Differential Privacy, Privacy-preserving Machine Learning, and Anonymization and Pseudonymization. Previous roles include a Software Engineering Ph.D. Intern at Google, Research Assistant positions at The Graduate Center of CUNY and The CAISS Lab of CUNY, and a SharePoint Administrator for the NYC Department of Transportation. Milinda holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from The Graduate Center, City University of New York, complemented by multiple degrees in Computer Science from several institutions, including a Bachelor's degree from The City College of New York and an Associate's degree from American National College, Sri Lanka.
