Software Engineer

Mitchell Dernis has extensive experience in software engineering, particularly in game and hardware development. At Microsoft Corporation from 2006 to 2013, Mitchell held various roles including Lead Software Development Engineer, where management of developers for Xbox 360 input devices and APIs occurred, and Senior Software Development Engineer, focusing on machine learning R&D for Kinect. Mitchell's early contributions to the Xbox platform included developing the 802.11 WiFi driver for the Xbox 360 launch hardware. Since September 2013, Mitchell has worked as a Software Engineer at Google. Academic qualifications include a BA in Chemistry from Washington University in St. Louis and a PhD in Physical Chemistry from Brandeis University.
