Mohamed Amin is an experienced research engineer currently working at Google since September 2022. Previously, Amin held the position of machine learning engineer at Altos Labs from February 2022 to September 2022, focusing on single cell genomics and deep learning for pathology images. An internship as a software development engineer at Amazon occurred between May 2021 and August 2021 within the Machine Learning Robotics Team. In 2019, Amin co-founded GroupPay Inc., a European startup that facilitates group payments, which was accepted into the HAG Accelerator Program. Amin's accolades include winning the European Innovation Academy in July 2019 as CTO of GroupPay Inc., and serving as a research assistant at the University of Michigan Medical School from October 2018 to May 2019, where work involved developing a deep neural net algorithm for detecting the pancreas in CT scans. Amin holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering with minors in Mathematics of Finance and Risk Management and Biology from the University of Michigan.
