Monchu Chen

Monchu Chen possesses extensive experience in academia and industry, particularly in user experience design and research. From January 2008 to September 2015, Monchu served as an Assistant Professor within the Carnegie Mellon Portugal Program and later as the Director of the Master Program of Entertainment Technology, overseeing a dual-degree initiative. In addition, Monchu held various leadership roles, including Director at Logica Service Design Lab and Principal User Experience Designer at BrandMyMail. Other notable positions include Research Scientist at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, User Experience Researcher at Google, and Director of HCI at Appen. Monchu's early career involved research and development roles at institutions such as Chang Gung Memorial Hospital and Carnegie Mellon University. Monchu's academic credentials include a PhD in Human-Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master of Arts from National Chiao Tung University.
