Ned Nguyen

Ned Nguyen is a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Google, having joined the company in June 2013. Currently, as a tech lead, Ned oversees initiatives applying machine learning and generative AI to enhance developer productivity across Android, Chrome, and ChromeOS. In 2023, Ned led a team of 60-100 software engineers to significantly improve the ChromeOS build and CI/CD processes, achieving a threefold speed increase within a year. Earlier roles at Google included serving as a technical lead manager for the Chromium performance infrastructure project and as a Junior Software Engineer focused on Search infrastructure improvements. Ned's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and associate degrees from Diablo Valley College, complemented by high school education at Le Qui Don gifted high school.
