Nicholas Taylor is a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Google, where they have worked since 2010. Currently serving as the tech lead for Monarch, a planet-scale monitoring system, Nicholas has previously held leadership roles on Colossus, Google's distributed filesystem, and Bigtable, its NoSQL database. They began their career at Google as an engineering intern with the New York infrastructure group in 2009. Nicholas holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Computer Science from Harvey Mudd College.
