Nicole Mitchell

Nicole Mitchell is a Research Scientist at Google Research, focusing on "models that forget" and machine unlearning to enhance data privacy and provenance. They have previously contributed to the Kavraki Lab at Rice University, defending a master's thesis on machine learning for drug metabolism prediction. Throughout their career, Nicole has been involved in various research initiatives, including work on federated learning and distributed training, and has interned at companies such as Apple, Facebook, and Square. A former NCAA Division I student-athlete, they also led outreach efforts in STEM through Gatorbotics and Design for America. Nicole holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Computer Science from Rice University.
