Nikhil Prabhu is an experienced software engineer with a strong background in natural language processing (NLP) and machine translation. Nikhil began as a Software Developer Intern at FireEye, Inc., where contributions included tooling for jMQL and integration with AWS. Nikhil continued to develop skills at Soroco as a Software Engineer, enhancing NLP components for a Virtual Assistant chatbot and mentoring interns on CRF sequence models. As a Graduate Student Assistant at Soroco, Nikhil worked on NLP enhancements, followed by a role as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Colorado Boulder, focusing on morphological information for low-resource machine translation. Since July 2021, Nikhil has progressed through Google, currently serving as a Software Engineer III.
