Noam Shazeer is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in engineering and leadership roles. Noam served as the Chief Executive Officer at Character.AI from November 2021 until August 2024. Currently, Noam holds the position of VP Engineering and Gemini Co-lead at Google, a role assumed in August 2024. Prior to this, Noam was a Software Engineer and later a Principal Software Engineer at Google from December 2000 to October 2009. Noam earned a degree from Duke University between 1994 and 1998.
