Obinna Anya

Obinna Anya is an AI researcher and HCI expert with a focus on understanding human behavior. They are currently the Co-founder and Executive Director of VarsityMentor, a nonprofit organization aimed at reducing graduate unemployment in Africa through mentorship and skills training. They have held positions such as Senior UX Researcher at Google, where they drive the design of human-centered products for Cloud and AI solutions, and have previously worked as a Post-doctoral Researcher at IBM, contributing to UX studies and crowdsourcing systems. Obinna also served as an Honorary Research Fellow at Liverpool Hope University, where they conducted research in AI/ML and user-centered systems engineering.
