Olcay Sertel

Olcay Sertel has a strong background in image processing, computer vision, and statistical pattern recognition, reinforced by a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Ohio State University. Career experience includes roles as a Graduate Research Associate at The Ohio State University Medical Center, where research focused on image analysis techniques for microscopic images. Olcay Sertel has worked as an Imaging Scientist at Ventana Medical Systems, developing algorithms for digital pathology, and has also held positions at BioImagene and Google as a Software Engineer. Prior research and teaching roles were completed at Yeditepe University, contributing to the development of 3D range scanning systems and image analysis methods. Additional experience includes a graduate internship at Merck, focused on creating image analysis tools for muscle histology slides.
