Padraic Smith

Padraic Smith has a diverse background with extensive experience in pool management, recreation, and organizational operations. From May 2007 to September 2015, Padraic held multiple roles at The Town of Niskayuna, including Pool Manager, Assistant Manager, Head Coach, Lesson Instructor, and Lifeguard, effectively supervising 40 employees and ensuring safety at the pool. In 2013, Padraic interned with The Town of Longmeadow, successfully authoring a grant proposal that secured $5,000 for a STEM lab and preparing the department's budget. A practicum at the American Hockey League involved creating travel documents for 30 teams and managing official apparel for the league. Since August 2017, Padraic has served as a Technical University Recruiter and Strategic Virtual Outreach Program Manager at Google, following an internship with the United States Olympic Committee that involved developing a mobile application for the Rio 2016 Summer Olympic Games. Padraic holds a Master of Science in Management in Entrepreneurial Leadership from Babson College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management from Springfield College.
