Paul Jhun

Head of Medical Education

Paul Jhun is a medical professional with extensive experience in emergency medicine education and leadership. Paul served as the Managing and Executive Editor for Emergency Medicine: Reviews and Perspectives (EMRAP) from 2013 to 2015, and is currently an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco since 2014. Previous roles include Assistant Residency Program Director and Assistant Professor at the University of Southern California, where Paul was recognized as Faculty of the Year in 2012. Paul also held the position of Chief Resident during residency training at Los Angeles County - University of Southern California. In addition, Paul has been the Chief Medical Officer at Hippo Education, Inc. from 2013 to 2023 and currently serves as Head of Medical Education at Google. Paul holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. Notably, Paul received the EMRA 45 under 45 Award in 2019.
