Peter Clasen

Peter Clasen has extensive experience in psychology and product research, holding academic positions such as Assistant Professor at the University of Washington and a Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University. Clasen has held significant roles in notable organizations, including Facebook, where Clasen co-founded the Health team and focused on consumer safety and journalist protection, and Instacart, where Clasen served as Senior Manager in Product Research & Development and later as Head of Research for Connected Stores. Currently, Clasen leads a team of Senior Staff Researchers developing AI features for Google Search. Clasen also possesses a robust educational background, culminating in a Ph.D. in Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin and a post-baccalaureate in Psychology from Columbia University.
