Peter Smiley

Peter Smiley is a skilled software engineer with diverse experience in programming and education. With a degree in Computer Science from Tufts University, Peter served as a Senior Program Assistant and Teacher at Emagination Tech Camps, instructing middle and high school students in Java and C#. As a Teaching Assistant for the CS-118 Cloud Computing course at Tufts, Peter supported 45 students alongside Dr. Sambasivan. Peter interned at Google, contributing as a STEP Intern to the Chronicle team by improving customer notification systems and as a Software Engineer Intern to the Shopping and Commerce team, where significant reductions in server call latency were achieved. Currently, Peter leads projects at Levin Lab, focusing on computational evolutionary simulations. During a summer internship at Immuto, Peter developed a Google Chrome extension leveraging blockchain technology.
