Petko Nikolov is an experienced software engineer and expert in machine learning, currently working at Google in Zurich, Switzerland, since August 2019. Prior to this role, Petko served as Machine Learning Tech Lead and Machine Learning Engineer at Hyperscience and contributed to music classification and recommendation systems at SoundCloud from September 2012 to September 2014. Petko has also held a position as a Guest Lecturer and Course Co-organizer at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski in 2019. Earlier career experiences include working as a software engineer at Grafixoft Ltd., where projects involved a CAD/CAM architectural system and video filtering drivers. Petko holds a B.S. in Informatics from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski and a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence with Distinction from The University of Edinburgh.
