Pooyan Behnam

Pooyan Behnam is a highly skilled professional in the field of computer science with extensive experience in software engineering and technical leadership. Currently serving as a Technical Lead at Google since December 2021, Pooyan is involved with LLM and NLU data curation infrastructure. Previously, Pooyan co-founded and held the position of Technical Co-Founder at Diliteracy (Danak), a non-profit literacy application for Farsi, from May 2019 to March 2023. In addition, Pooyan was a Co-Founder and Technical Lead at Softhemis Inc., where services and tools to enhance software engineering practices were provided. Early career positions include Technical Supervisor at USC's CSSE Research Portal and multiple software engineering internships at Google, the University of Zurich, and EPFL. Pooyan holds a PhD and MS in Computer Science from the University of Southern California, along with a BS in Computer Engineering and Software Engineering from the University of Tehran.
