Qingyu Yang

Qingyu Yang is an accomplished machine learning engineer and researcher with extensive experience in image processing and pattern recognition. From May 2019 to May 2023, Qingyu served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Purdue University, focusing on online deep learning and collaborating with Poshmark to develop a barcode detection system for fashion images. Qingyu gained additional experience as a Machine Learning Engineer Intern at Twitter in the summer of 2022 and worked as a Research Intern at Xerox from October 2020 to January 2022, where efforts were concentrated on AI solutions for image quality stability. Prior to these roles, Qingyu conducted research on computational imaging algorithms as a Research Intern at SenseBrain from January to April 2022. Currently, Qingyu is employed as a Software Engineer specializing in Machine Learning at Google. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, followed by a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering, both emphasizing signal and image processing, computer vision, and applied machine learning, all obtained from Purdue University.
