Radu Soricut is an accomplished computer scientist with extensive experience in research and application development. Radu began the professional journey at the Information Sciences Institute as a Research Assistant and continued to develop expertise at Language Weaver, where Radu served as both Research Scientist and Senior Research Scientist, focusing on data-driven statistical systems for quality prediction. Radu held roles as Senior Research Scientist and Manager of Application Science & Engineering at SDL International before joining Google in 2012 as a Research Scientist, contributing to Google Translate. Radu's academic background includes a PhD and MS in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Bucharest.
