Rashmi Kolhar is a seasoned engineering leader with over two decades of experience in software engineering and technology management. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Google since May 2012, Rashmi leads the User Generated Content platforms for Google Maps. Prior to this role, Rashmi was a Staff Software Engineer at Google, focusing on the backend processing infrastructure for Google Analytics. Rashmi's career began at Huawei Technologies India as a Senior Software Engineer, developing Softswitch technology for VOIP, followed by a similar role at Cisco, where leadership was demonstrated in developing the Call Manager (VOIP) as a technical lead. Rashmi holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Karnataka.
