Reena Jana

Reena Jana is an experienced leader in AI research and standards, currently serving as the Head of AI Research & Standards, Trust & Safety at Google. With a focus on responsible innovation, Reena has held various leadership positions at Google, including Head of AI Transparency & Standards and Head of Content Strategy, where efforts were directed towards developing operational policies and best practices for trustworthy AI. Prior to joining Google, Reena worked at IBM as a Narrative & Content Strategy Lead and Product Owner, and at frog where Reena led thought leadership strategy. Reena's career began in journalism and content strategy, with substantial contributions to prestigious publications and positions, including an Editor role at Bloomberg News and as Editor for Fanning Publishing. Reena holds a Master of Arts in South Asian Studies from Columbia University and has pursued further studies in Computer Science at the University of Pennsylvania.
