Robert Ames

Robert Ames is a seasoned technology and strategic advisor with extensive experience across multiple sectors, including government and technology. Currently serving as Director at Google since March 2023, Robert focuses on securing the future with Google Cloud. In addition, Robert is a Senior Advisor for the US Federal Government, providing insights on emerging trends and strategic investments. Prior roles include Senior Director at VMware, where Robert advised on technology adoption, and Managing Director at Mapbox, where client management and product development were key responsibilities. Robert's leadership experience spans various organizations, including In-Q-Tel and IBM, where significant growth and innovation were achieved through strategic initiatives. Robert holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Music from Rice University, complementing a diverse professional background with a strong focus on technology and analytics.
