Robert Samuel, CISSP, CCSP, is currently the Security and Compliance Lead for Google’s Cloud CISO team, where they help meet compliance requirements for customers. Previously, they held roles at Meta, Amazon Web Services, and served as the Chief Information Security Officer for the Province of Nova Scotia, establishing and leading enterprise-wide cybersecurity programs. With over twenty years of experience in information management and technology, Robert has a strong background in regulatory compliance, risk management, and information security, honed through various leadership roles in both the private sector and as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces. They hold a Bachelor of Technology degree in Information Management from Cape Breton University and additional certifications in cybersecurity.
