Ruixin Zhang

Ruixin Zhang, also known as Edna, is a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in engineering and machine learning. Currently serving as a Software Engineer at Google, Ruixin has previously held roles such as AR Engineer at Duke University Graduate School, where an immersive AR aquarium app was developed, and Graduate Teaching Assistant, mentoring undergraduate instructors in data science topics. Notable achievements include developing a 3D U-Net convolutional neural network for neuron segmentation, winning a competition for independent research on COVID-19's influence on mental health, and creating a large satellite imagery dataset for energy analytics. Ruixin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Neuroscience, a minor in Cinematic Arts from Duke University, and is pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science at Duke University. Additionally, Ruixin has completed the IBM Machine Learning Professional Certificate through Coursera.
