Ruth Murphy

Ruth Murphy's professional background includes significant experience in the legal field, starting as a Solicitor at Binchys Solicitors from 1996 to 2000. Afterward, Ruth worked at Eversheds Ireland as a Commercial Solicitor until 2004, followed by a tenure at BT Ireland from 2004 to 2012, where Ruth held various roles, including Commercial Lawyer and Chief Counsel for BT Ireland. Ruth continued to ascend in the legal sector at BT, serving as Chief Counsel for Business and Public Sector and later as General Counsel for BT Enterprise until 2018. From 2019 to 2021, Ruth directed the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition. Since September 2021, Ruth has been the Head of Legal for Google Ireland. Ruth holds a degree from Trinity College Dublin, completed between 1992 and 1996, and has further qualifications from the Law Society of Ireland.
