Ruth Sun

Ruth Sun is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in leadership roles across major companies. Currently serving as Managing Director and Korea Country Head at Google Cloud since November 2025, Ruth is also a member of Google's Leadership Team. Previously, Ruth held the position of Global Managing Director for Strategic Partnerships at IBM, contributing to the Corporate Leadership Team. Other notable roles include Chief Executive Officer and Board Director at Tempest, Chief Operating Officer at Force Therapeutics, and Vice President of Strategic Development at Blackboard, where significant revenue growth and strategic partnerships were established. Ruth's career at IBM spanned from 2002 to 2015, culminating in the role of Managing Director for Watson Health, where an industry-first Oncology SaaS solution was launched. Ruth holds an MBA from Emory University's Goizueta Business School, a BA in Marketing from the University of South Florida, and has completed executive education at Harvard University.
