Ryu Parish is a seasoned machine learning engineer and software developer with experience in various roles across prominent organizations. As a Lead ML Engineer at Cledge, Ryu led machine learning infrastructure and worked extensively with NLP methodologies, including BERT for extractive summarization and QA. Ryu contributed to the BigCode project at Hugging Face and gained mentorship from notable figures at Google, focusing on machine perception. Additionally, Ryu has held positions as a Wordpress Developer at UW Medicine and a Teaching Assistant at Interactive Intelligence, while also engaging in research on conversational dialogue systems at the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering. Ryu is currently a Software Engineer II at Google and pursuing a combined Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science at the University of Washington.
