Sage Barreda

Sage Barreda has a diverse background in technology and the sciences, combining experience as a Software Engineer at Google since January 2023 with a history of internships that include roles on the Cloud Spanner database team and Fuchsia OS Workstation team. Prior to this, Sage gained valuable research experience through a summer scholarship at the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute, focusing on bioinformatics projects. Freelance experience as a Camera Assistant and Stills Photographer was complemented by a role in retail sales at JB Hi-Fi and customer service with Kmart Australia Limited. Academically, Sage holds a Bachelor of Science in Genetics and a Bachelor of Computer Science with Distinction from UNSW, along with a Diploma in Cinematography from the Australian Film Television and Radio School, and has served as a Casual Academic at UNSW.
