Sam Aldrin has extensive experience in software engineering and leadership roles across multiple companies. Starting as a Research Engineer at ARM Ltd. from January 1996 to February 1997, Sam progressed to a Senior Systems Engineer at Compaq Development Center until May 1998. A Software Engineer position at Mayan Networks was held from 1998 to 2000, followed by significant contributions at Cisco Systems from August 2000 to November 2003, where roles included Senior Software Engineer and Manager of Software Development. After a stint as Principal Engineer & Architect at Huawei from November 2010 to February 2015, Sam joined Google in February 2015, holding various positions including Architect, Staff Software Engineer, and currently, Edge AI & Analytics Lead. Since April 2016, Sam has also served as WG Co-Chair for Network Virtualization Overlays at IETF.
