Sam Fries is an experienced software engineer with a diverse background in various technology companies. Beginning as a Seasonal Technician at CREST Technologies, Inc. from June 2006 to August 2010, Sam progressed to roles at Mutant Entertainment Studios and 4th Down Software Development LLC before joining Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory as a Software Engineer. Sam gained substantial experience at Google from March 2017 to February 2022, serving in multiple capacities including Frontend Software Engineer (Search) and Senior Staff Software Engineer. Most recently, Sam worked as a Staff Software Engineer at Stripe from February 2022 to October 2022. Sam holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Computer Graphics from California State University-Chico, obtained between 2008 and 2012.
