Samuel J. Yang is a Research Scientist at Google, where they apply machine learning to challenges in science and hearing accessibility. They obtained a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, having previously earned both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in the same field. During their time as a Graduate Student at Stanford from 2011 to 2016, they developed innovative computational displays and advanced microscopy methods. Additionally, they held roles at Google[x] and Pelican Imaging, contributing to projects in imaging instrumentation and computational photography.
