Sara N. Mitchell

Sara N. Mitchell has extensive experience in the field of tropical disease biology, specializing in molecular biology and vector control. Mitchell's academic journey began with a BSc in Tropical Disease Biology from Liverpool University, followed by a PhD focused on insecticide resistance mechanisms in Anopheles gambiae. Professional experience includes roles as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard School of Public Health, where research emphasized molecular determinants of female post-mating physiology, and as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Imperial College London, studying female mating responses in An. gambiae. Additionally, Mitchell held positions as a Scientist and later a Senior Scientist at Verily Life Sciences.
