Scott Diehl is an accomplished software engineer and manager with extensive experience in high-performance computing and data storage systems. Scott began a career at Cognitive Bionics, Inc. as a Software Engineer before joining Google, where Scott has held various roles since 2010, including Software Engineer, Software Engineering Manager, and currently, Senior Staff Software Engineering Manager. In these positions, Scott has developed high-performance distributed storage systems critical for Google’s data analytics products and led initiatives to enhance developer productivity for storage engineers. Additionally, Scott has experience as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Siena College, contributing to teaching and research efforts. Scott holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an MS from the University of Michigan, and a BS from the University of Michigan, graduating with honors.
