Scott Lane

Scott Lane is an experienced IT professional with a robust background in system administration and site reliability engineering. Scott began the career at Excite @home as a Senior Unix Systems Administrator from 1999 to 2002, followed by a role as a Senior Unix/Linux Systems Administrator at Postini from 2003 to 2007. After a brief tenure as a Senior Unix Systems Engineer at Jamcracker in 2002-2003, Scott joined Google, contributing as a DBA/Senior Systems Administrator from 2007 to June 2008. Since then, Scott has advanced within Google, taking on various Site Reliability Engineer positions, including roles focused on YouTube Trust & Safety, Google Cloud Storage, YouTube Search, and Photos, before transitioning to Cloud Reliability Engineering in 2021.
